Law of Independent Assortment: It states that when two pairs of contrasting traits are combined in a hybrid, segregation of contrasted one pair of character is independent of the other pair of characters. Both parental type and recombinant types are observed to show that genes for the color and genes for the shape of seeds segregate independently during gamete formation.
