In section PQ : Two 6Ω resistances are connected in series
Equivalent resistance between PQ, RPQ=6Ω+6Ω=12Ω
This 12Ω is connected in parallel with another 12Ω resistance.
Equivalent resistance between BC, 1RBC=112+112
RBC=6Ω ...........(1)

Equivalent resistance between AC 1RAC=16+16+16
RAC=2Ω ...........(2)

Total resistance between AB, RAB=RAC+RBC=2+6=8Ω
Potential difference between A and B, VAVB=IRAB=0.5×8=4V
