The correct option is A 4 cm
Centre of mass of each ring lies at the centre of ring.
Let A,B,C,D and E be the five uniform rings.
COM of ring A (x1,y1)=(0,0)
COM of ring B (x2,y2)=(5,0)
COM of ring C (x3,y3)=(5,5)
COM of ring D (x4,y4)=(0,5)
COM of ring E (x5,y5)=(0,10)


Let ycm be the y co-ordinate of COM of the five ring system.
ycm=m1y1+m2y2+m3y3+m4y4+m5y5m1+m2+m3+m4+m5
=10(0+0+5+5+10)50
=205=4 cm
