Focal length of the lens depends on its surrounding medium. What happens, if we use a liquid as surrounding media of refractive index, equal to the refractive index of lens?

When the refractive index of surrounding media is equal to the refractive index of lens, the lens looses its characteristics.

Lens do not diverge or converge the light.

Light do not get refracted when it passes through that lens.
