(a) The name of the test is amniocentesis. This is the test in which the amniotic fluid is tested for the karyotype, hormones and enzymes in order to determine any genetic disorder in the child.
(b) The test is used for the determination of sex which leads to female feticide. So, the test is banned for creating awareness and preventing the illegal killing of the female child. This affects the male and the female ratio in the population.
(c) Invitro fertilization followed by embryo transfer is known as Zygote intrafallopian transfer (ZIFT).
