Solution

Concept: 1 Mark
Application: 2 Marks

2 hoursRs.404 hoursRs. 606 hoursRs. 708 hoursRs. 8010 hoursRs. 90
Now, when we cross multiply the first two entries of the parking charges we have

2 -------- 40

4 -------- x

i.e. 2x=4×40

i.e. x=4×402

=2×40

=80

But the entry is 60

Similarly
8 -------- 80

10 ------ x

8x=10×80

x=100

But the entry is 90.

Hence the parking charges are not in direct proportion.
