What is the range of wages (in ₹) ?

Step 1: Arranging wages in ascending order
Given,
3500, 4250, 4000, 4250, 4000, 3750, 4750, 4000, 4250 and 4000.
Required ascending order:
3500, 3750, 4000, 4000, 4000, 4000, 4250, 4250, 4250, 4750.

Step 2: Finding range of wages (in ₹)
∴ From the above data we have,
Highest wage = ₹ 4750
and Lowest wage = ₹ 3500
Range = Largest number − Smallest number
∴ Range ="₹ 4750 − ₹ 3500"
Hence, range of the given wages (in ₹) is ₹ 1250.
