Following graph shows monthly expenditure (in ₹) of a family.

i) What is the expenditure in the month of March?
ii) Find the number of months for which the monthly expenditure is more than ₹1,000.
iii) What is the maximum expenditure from the given graph?

i) From the bar graph, it is evident that in the month of March, the family has spent ₹1,600.

ii) In the bar graph, we can see the line corresponding to ₹1,000.
- The bars which are rising above this line shows the months with expenditure more than ₹1000.
They are February, March, June, July, August and December. So, for 6 months, the monthly expenditure of the family is more than ₹1,000.

iii) We can see the bar for the month of July is the highest and the expenditure is ₹1,700 (since the bar is halfway between 1,600 and 1,800). Therefore, ₹1,700 was the maximum expenditure done in the month of July.
