In the bar graph,

The month is represented on the X- axis.

The expenditure is represented on the Y-axis.

From the bar graph, it is evident that in the month of January, the family spent ₹1000.
From the bar graph, it is evident that in the month of March, the family spent ₹1600.
From the bar graph, it is evident that in the month of October, the family spent ₹800.

Total expenditure done by the family in the months of January, March and October = ₹1000 + ₹1600 + ₹800 = ₹3400
