Given, PD=v,current=I

Since V=Eir0.4=E0.04rE=0.4+0.20r...1

Similarly, E=0.8+0.12R....2

From equation 1 and 2 we get,

0.4+0.20r=0.8+0.12r0.08r=0.4r=40Ω

Now,

E=0.4+0.20×5=0.4+1=1.4volt
