For example: y=x2

It is a non - linear function. How?

Well if we increase the value of x, the value of y increases square times.

In simple terms, if we input x=2, the value of y will be 4.

Similarly, for x=3, y will be 9.

The increase in y is not linear or we can say not corresponding to the change in x.
