Cost of 1 ticket = Rs $35 \frac{1}{2}$ = Rs $\frac{71}{2}$
∴ Cost of 308 tickets = Rs $(\frac{71}{2} \times 308) = Rs (\frac{71}{2} \times \frac{308}{1}) = Rs (71 \times 154) = Rs 10934$

Hence, 308 tickets were sold for Rs 10,934.
