The correct option is C ₹ 3000
The ratio of profits
$= \frac{4000}{1000} = \frac{4}{1} = 4 : 1$

$∴$ The ratio of capital invested by A and B respectively must also be in the ratio 4 : 1.

Let A's share of capital be 4x and B's share be x

Total capital = 15000
$\Rightarrow$ x + 4x = 15000
$\Rightarrow$ 5x = 15000
$\Rightarrow$ x = 3000

$∴$ Capital invested by B = x = ₹ 3000
