Solution

The correct option is C ₹ 3000
The ratio of profits
=40001000=41=4:1

The ratio of capital invested by A and B respectively must also be in the ratio 4 : 1.

Let A's share of capital be 4x and B's share be x

Total capital = 15000
x + 4x = 15000
5x = 15000
x = 3000

Capital invested by B = x = ₹ 3000
