## The correct option is C ₹ 3000The ratio of profits =40001000=41=4:1 ∴ The ratio of capital invested by A and B respectively must also be in the ratio 4 : 1. Let A's share of capital be 4x and B's share be x Total capital = 15000 ⇒ x + 4x = 15000 ⇒ 5x = 15000 ⇒ x = 3000 ∴ Capital invested by B = x = ₹ 3000
