Step 2 : Before substituting the values of length and breadth in the formula always check the unit of length and breadth. It should be same . If not same convert the unit accordingly.

$\mathrm{Area}=10\times 8=80{\mathrm{m}}^2$

Hence the area of rectangle is $80{\mathrm{m}}^2$
