Question

For a solution, the particle size is less than x nanometer.
For a colloid, the particle size is more than y nanometer and less than z nanometer (s).
For a suspension, the particles size is more than w nanometer(s).
Choose x, y, z and w from the following:
1. One
2. Ten
3. Two
4. Hundred

Solution

These are the main differentiating factors for solutions, colloids and suspensions. Let us take a look.
A mixture is said to be a solution if the particle size of the solute is less than 1 nanometer.
It is said to be a colloid when the particle size is greater than 1 nanometer and less than 100 nanometers.
It becomes a suspension when the particle size is more than 100 nanometers.
Carve this into your memory!

So, x = 1
y = 1
z = 4
w = 4

Total = 10
