The correct option is D 6 cm
Given, $△ A B C$ is in a semicircle and BC is the diameter, therefore $∠ B A C = 90^{o}$
So, it is a right angled triangle, therefore
$B A^{2} + A C^{2} = B C^{2}$
$⟹ A C^{2} = 10^{2} - 8^{2} = 36$
