Step 1. a*b=1+ab is commutative if;

a*b=b*a

1+ab=1+ba

1+ab=1+ab (True) (a,b, are real numbers)

Step 2. a*b=1+ab is associative if;

(a*b)*c=a*(b*c)

(a*b)*c=(1+ab)*c

=1+(1+ab)c

=1+c+abc

a*(b*c)=a*(1+bc)

=1+a(1+bc)

=1+a+abc

(a*b)*ca*(b*c).
