Solution

The correct option is A Eichhornia
Biogas is the mixture of gases produced by the anaerobic breakdown of the organic matter. Water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) is a flowering aquatic plant which has extremely high growth rate and spreads rapidly. It has been used as a potential biomass for the production of biogas because of its high growth yield and availability in large amount throughout the year and all over the world. Biogas from water hyacinth is produced by a digester. To reach an optimum condition for the production of the maximum production of gas, the lower volatile fatty acids (acetic acid) and cow dung can be used with water hyacinth.
So, the correct answer is option A.
