px =6x3+11x2+kx-20qx =9x2+5xpx+qx =6x3+11x2+kx-20+9x2+5xpx+qx =6x3+20x2+k+5x-20Given x=2 is a root of px+qx i.e., p2+q2 = 0 6×23+20×22+k+52-20=0 48+80+2k+10-20=0 118+2k=0 2k=-118 k=-1182 k =-59
