The correct option is D2.88 m/s2 FBD of Blocks
For 6 kg block T=6a(i)
For 4 kg block , mg−T=ma 4g−T=4a 4g−4a=T(ii)
From (i) and (ii), 4g−4a=6a ⇒4g=10a ⇒a=4 m/s2
Therefore, acceleartion of 6 kg block is 4 m/s2 along (+x)- axis while the acceleration of 4 kg block is 4 m/s2 along (−y) - axis.
