For 6 kg block
T=6a (i)

For 4 kg block ,
mgT=ma
4gT=4a
4g4a=T (ii)
From (i) and (ii),
4g4a=6a
4g=10a
a=4 m/s2

Therefore, acceleartion of 6 kg block is 4 m/s2 along (+x)- axis while the acceleration of 4 kg block is 4 m/s2 along (y) - axis.

acom=m1a1+m2a2m1+m2=6×4^i4×4^j10=2.4^i1.6^j

|acom|=2.42+(1.6)2=2.88 m/s2
