The correct option is A 2.4
Factor of safety $= \frac{Yield Stress}{Allowable Stress}$
With increase in allowable stress, the factor of safety will reduce i.e.
Revised $F O S = \frac{1.5}{1.25} = 1.2$
$∴$ Load factor = Revised F.O.S $\times$ Shape factor
$= 1.2 \times 2$
$= 2.4$
