The correct option is C $- 3$
$x^{2} + 2 x k + k^{2} = 0$
Put the value of x=3 we get
$(3)^{2} + 2 \times 3 \times k + k^{2} = 0$
$\Rightarrow 9 + 6 k + k^{2} = 0$
$\Rightarrow (k + 3)^{2} = 0$
Then $k = - 3$
