Unlike electron and proton, neutron have zero charge which means they are neutral particles. Like all hadrons, neutron are made up of quarks. A neutron is made up of two down quarks and one up quarks. One up quarks has a charge of +$\frac{2}{3}$ and the down quarks each have a charge of -$\frac{1}{3}$ . The fact that these changes cancel out is why neutrons have a neutral charge.
