Solution

The given function is 2h(x)x7=0.
h(x)=x+72=y

Ordered pair is represented as (x,y)
Given ordered pairs are (a,7.5) and (b,6.5).
x=a and x=b corresponds to y=7.5 and y=6.5, respectively,
Substitute y in the given function and solve for x.

For y=7.5,

x+72=7.5
x+7=7.5×2=152×2=15
x=157=8
a=8

For y=7.5,

x+72=6.5
x+7=6.5×2=132×2=13
x=137=6
b=6

ab=86=2
