To act as full wave rectifier input must be connected across B & D and output must be taken across A & C.
Because we need to get a full wave rectifier, it means that the cycle generated must be continuous. Now when the first cycle of alternating current will come then AB & CD will generate output as they will only have forward biased.
Now when second cycle of alternating current will come then AD & BC will generate output as they have forward biased.
