The correct option is D both lines are skew
Given lines:
→r=2^i+2^j−^k+λ(^i−2^j−^k)=→a+λ→b and →r=3^i−2^j+^k+μ(−^i−^j+^k)=→c+μ→d
As →b is not parallel to →d
So, lines are either intersecting or skew.
Now any point on line L1=(2+λ,2−2λ,−1−λ) and on L2=(3−μ,−2−μ,1+μ)
For point of intersection , L1=L2
⇒2+λ=3−μ⋯(i)2−2λ=−2−μ⋯(ii)−1−λ=1+μ⋯(iii)
Adding (i) and (iii): we get ,1=4
which is not true
So, there is no point of intersection.
∴ lines are skew.
