When volume is reduced to 1/3rd, then concentration will increase three times. ∴r1=k[A][B]2 ...(i) r2=k[3A][3B]2 ...(ii) From equations (i) and (ii), r1r2=127 r2=27r1 ∴ Rate will increase 27 times.
