Solution

The correct option is D 6
For the synthesis of one molecule of glucose, the Calvin cycle repeats six times. The Calvin cycle is a light-independent reaction in photosynthesis and takes place in three steps, viz., carbon fixation, reduction and regeneration. For the fixation of six molecules of CO2, six turns of the cycle are required. Six turns of the Calvin cycle results in the synthesis of one molecule of glucose.
