For the wave shown in figure, find its amplitude, frequency and wavelength if its speed is 300 m/s. Write the equation for this wave as it travels out along the + x-axis if its position at t = 0 is as shown.

Amplitude is the maximum displacement of a point on the wave from its mean position.
Here the maximum displacement is 0.06m=A= Amplitude
From the figure we see that the point x=0 and x=20cm have 5 half wavelengths in between. Thus 20=5λ2
λ=8cm
Speed of wave=ωk=λν=300m/s
ν=3000.08Hz=3750Hz
