The Tehsildar sahib had advised Ramlal to send his daughters to school and set an example to the villagers. Horrified by this news, the Ramlal’s wife says that nobody would marry a girl who went to school. They felt that Bholi had very little chances of getting married to anyone due to her ugly face and lack of sense and thus agreed to send Bholi to school so that the teachers would worry about her.
