The correct option is A 1 Ω
Consider two current mesh with currents i1 and i2 in clockwise direction as shown in figure.

Applying Kirchhoff's law
for left mesh: 410=Ri1+2(i1i2)Ri1+2(i1i2)=6....(1)
for right mesh: 106=2(i2i1)+4i26i22i1=4....(2)
When no current through resistor 4Ω, current i2=0
now from (2), 2i1=4i1=2
Putting I1=2,i2=0 in (1), we get, 2R4=6;2R=6+4=2R=1Ω
