The correct option is D The Kjeldahl method in analytical chemistry is a method for the quantitative determination of nitrogen contained in organic substances and the nitrogen contained in inorganic compounds like ammonia and ammonium (NH3/NH4+).
Kjeldahl's method is not applicable for compounds containing nitrogen as nitro and azo groups and for compounds having nitrogen directly attached to the ring (e.g. pyridine). The nitrogen of these compounds does not change to ammonium sulphate.
