substituting $x=2$ and $y=-3$ we get

$$\begin{gathered} 2^2-{\left(-3\right)}^2=(2+\left(-3\right))(2-\left(-3\right)) \\ 4-\left(9\right)=(2-3)(2+3) \\ -5=\left(-1\right)\left(5\right) \\ -5=-5 \\ LHS=RHS \end{gathered}$$

Since, LHS and RHS both are same .

Hence, it's verified .
