Question

forest increase the humidity in the atmosphere explain

Open in App
Solution

Trees of the forests absorb water from the soil. This water moves up inside the body of the plant and reaches the leaves. Majority of the portion of the water absorbed is released from the leaves in the form of water vapour during a process called transpiration. Water vapour is added to the atmosphere thus increasing humidity. Regions where extensive deforestation has occurred show distinct change in their quantity of rainfall. Thus, trees play a vital role in maintaining the water cycle.
