Form a differential equation by eliminating the arbitrary constants a,b from the equation:
y=aekx+bekx.

Given,

y=aekx+bekx.......(1).

Now differentiating both sides with respect to x we get,
dydx=k(aekxbekx)

Again differentiating both sides we've,
d2ydx2=k2(aekx+bekx)

or, d2ydx2=k2y. [ Using (1)]

This is the required differential equation.
