7 more than 9 times a number is 43. What is the number?

Let the required number be x.

So, 9 times a number =9x

Also, when increased by 7.

The expression formed is 7+9x

Thus, required equation is 7+9x=43.

Step-2: To find the solution of the equation 7+9x=43:

Transposing 7 to the R.H.S,

9x=43-7.

9x=36

x=369

x=4.

Thus, x=4 is the solution of 7+9x=43.
