The correct option is D Zero

Let a be the side length of the square.

So, distance between vertex and centre of square is a2

Now, we know potential due to a system of point charges at any point P is given by

Vp=kq1r1+kq2r2+kq3r3+......+kqnrn

Since the all charges are kept at equal distance from centre point P which is (r=a2), then

Vp = kr(q1+q2+q3+.....+qn)

Vp=kqtotalr

Here, from centre of the square, all charges are equidistant.

qtotal=+4+(4)+2+(2)=0

So, Vp=0

Hence, option (a) is the correct answer.
