The middle branch has two capacitors each having capacitance C1 are in series.

Equivalent capacitance of this middle branch:

Cm=C1×C1C1+C1=C12

Now, all the three branches are in parallel.

Hence, equivalent capacitance acrossAB:

CAB=C1+Cm+C1

CAB=C1+C12+C1=5C12

Given that when a battery of 9 V is connected across A and B, the charge stored is found to be 3 μC.

Now, Q=CABV

3=5C12×9

C1=215 μF
