Solution
The correct option is ANi: Mond's process, Cu: Electrolysis, Zr: Van Arkel process, Ga: Zone refining Nickel is converted to an unstable volatile intermediate by heating it with CO.
This is then decomposed at an elevated temperature to obtain pure Ni. Zr and Ti are refined by the Van Arkel - de Boer process. They are converted
into their iodides which are volatilized in an evacuated vessel.
The iodides are decomposed at temperatures as high as 1400 °C.
Blister Cu is refined electrolytically. Gallium is refined using the zone
refining process to get ultra-pure metals!
