Four times a certain two digit number is seven times the number obtained on interchanging its digits. If the difference between the digits is 4; find the number.

Let numbers be x at ones place and y at tens place so
10y+x is that digit
now reversed digit is 10x+y
according to question
4 (10y+x)=7(10x+y)
2x=y (i)
now
given
y-x=4
from eq. i....... y=2x
2x-x=4
x=4
y=8
so
number is 10y + x = 84
reversed digit is 48
