If more workers were to help in cleaning the park, the time taken will decrease accordingly. Therefore, the number of workers and the time taken to clean the park vary in inverse proportion.

Let us assume that it takes $x$ hours for 6 workers to clean the park.
$6 x = 4 \times 12$

$x = 8$
