The breadth of a rectangle is $8cm$ less than its length. If the perimeter is $60cm$, find its length and breadth

Let length and breadth of rectangle be l and b respectively.

Then $l-b=8㎝\to 1$

And $2(l+b)=60㎝\Rightarrow l+b=30㎝\to 2$

Adding $1$ and $2$, we get

$2l=38㎝\Rightarrow l=19㎝$

$\therefore b=19-8=11㎝$

Therefore length$=19㎝$ & breadth$=11㎝$
