Solution

## Option C. 2.5 kg is correct.Water content of fresh grapes = 90% by weight of fresh grapes.Water content of dried grapes= 20% by weight of dry grapes.Weight of fresh grapes taken= 20 kgLet the weight of the dried grapes be x kg.Now, since, water content of fresh grapes is 90% by weight,∴ Grape content in fresh fruits = (100%−90%)×20=2 kgAlso, Grape content in dried fruits = (100%−20%)×x=0.8x kgSince, dried grapes are derived/obtained from fresh grapes only, therefore, the grape content will remain same in both.∴0.8x=20⇒x=20×10080=2.5 kgHence, the weight of dry grapes available from 20 kg of fresh grapes is 2.5 kg
