Diameter of circle with largest possible are a cut out from square = side of square

$\begin{array}{c}d=14\\ r=\frac{d}{2}=7cm\end{array}$

Area of circle $\pi r^2=\frac{22}{7}\times 7\times 7$

$=154c{m}^2$

Area of Remaining board = Area of square - Area of circle

$\begin{array}{c}=196-154\\ =42c{m}^2\end{array}$
