Santosh bought $400$ eggs for $1500$ rupees and spent $300$ rupees on transport and $50$ eggs fell down and broke
Price of $400$ eggs $= 1500$ RS
Price of $1$ egg $= \frac{1500}{400}$ RS
$\Rightarrow 1$ egg $= 3.75$ rupees
Total expenditure
$= 1500 + 300 + (50 \times 3.75) = 1800 + 187.5$
$= 1987.5$
Santosh sold $450$ eggs for $5$ rupees of each egg
Hence, selliing price of santosh is
$= 450 \times 5 = 2250$ rupees
Profit
$= 2250 - 1987.5 = 262.5$ rupees gain.
Hence,Santosh made a profit of $262, 5$ RS.
