When a carbon is doubly bonded to any other atom, then it cannot exhibit chirality i.e achiral, as a chiral carbon should contain four different substituents.
Adjacent carbon atoms with double bonds are called cumulenes. Cumulenes with even no. of pi bonds are optically active and with odd no. of pi bonds are optically in active.
