Solution

The correct option is C CH4,H2,NH3 and water vapor at 800C
In 1953, S.L. Miller conducted an experiment to prove the theory of chemical origin.
The conditions of primitive earth (reducing atmosphere and high temperature) were created in the laboratory. The electric discharge was stimulated into a closed flask containing CH4,H2,NH3 and water vapour at 800C. This led to the production of amino acids.

Similar experiments conducted by others led to the production of nitrogenous bases, pigments, fats, sugars etc.

All these proved that life originated from non-living components. The idea of chemical evolution was more or less accepted.
