By constraint relation 8Ta4=Ta2a2=8a4

Let a4=a upwards. So a2=8a downwards.

Applying F = ma for 2 kg block,
20T=2×8a20T=16a(1)
Applying F = ma for 8 kg block,
8T40=4a(2)
From (1) and (2),

a=1011m/s2=a4

a2=8×a=8×1011=8011m/s2

T=6×a=6×1011=6011N
